HIGH SCHOOL
GIRLS LACROSSE
History of
Lakeside Girl's
Lacrosse
As the Lakeside boy's lacrosse developed, a great high
school girl's lacrosse player, Gina Elnockrashy, from
Minnesota, came forth to help coach youth lacrosse.
Her knowledge of Title IX as it is applied to high school
athletics insured that if the athletes could be found at
Lakeside to form a club, Randy Hill would approve a
Varsity program for girls in 2007.  During the fall of 2005
Gina, with the help of Tara Wilcox, Michelle Wise, Kaitlyn
Leaf, Whitney Cook and Mary Teeter, got lacrosse
going at Lakeside. Since, Curt Gary had coached the
AALC women's post collegiate club, he took over the
duties.  Forty-five girls signed up for the initial season
and includes so very talented athletes.
